Transplant Center

Patient Information

See a Washington Times story and a Capital online article about the Transplant Center's annual holiday gathering, held on December 18th at the University of Maryland Medical Center. So far in 2007, the Transplant Center has performed 357 transplants -- 245 kidney, 44 liver, 29 heart, 25 pancreas and 14 lung transplants.

About the Series

The University of Maryland Medical System has launched a series of free educational programs for transplant patients, which includes liver, kidney, pancreas, heart and lung transplant patients.

These monthly programs will feature speakers and presentations on topics of interest to transplant and potential transplant patients. There will be time for questions, discussion and meeting other patients at the end of each program, and a light dinner will be served as well.

Anyone who is waiting for or has received a kidney, liver, pancreas, heart or lung transplant may attend.
