The Center offers comprehensive, compassionate and specialized care for patients with diseases of the skull base. A full spectrum of advanced clinical care rests on a solid foundation of coordinated services that set the standard for quality. To ensure consistent and effective care for patients, state-of-the-art clinical pathways and operational intervention guide our treatment approach.
Post Operative Care
The Neurointensive Care Program is an aggressive post operative care approach lead by a team of physicians. Treatment protocols are in place to reduce complications and monitor patient progress throughout their stay.
Comprehensive neurorehabilitation programs are available through the Center for Skull Base Surgery in conjunction with University of Maryland's Post-Acute Care Network at a variety of locations. Under the direction of neurologists, physiatrists, and specially trained therapists, patients learn to maximize their function and resume normal activities.
