At University of Maryland Orthopaedics we take care of the entire spectrum of pediatric orthopaedic problems from birth to skeletal maturity (teenagers).We care for all aspects of the child's musculoskeletal system while ensuring adequate time is spent with the child and his or her family members and caregivers.
Our multi-disciplinary physician approach incorporates experts in treating disorders of growth and development of the skeleton, muscles, tendons, nerves, and joints in children. From the neck all the way down to the tip of the small toe, we have physicians specially trained to care for your child.
Dr. Joshua Abzug has completed specialty training in problems related to the entire pediatric upper extremity as well as fractures involving the whole body. Drs. Daniel Gelb and Kelley Banagan have received specialized training to treat and manage pediatric spine disorders and fractures. Dr. Craig Bennett is the chief of our sports medicine program and has dedicated a significant portion of his practice to caring for the pediatric athlete. Our physicians also treat club feet and other conditions of the foot and ankle.
