Intensive Care Unit
The NeuroCare Intensive Care Unit, ICU, is specifically designed, equipped and staffed by a highly skilled team of health care professionals. We provide customer-focused optimal care for the neurologically impaired as well as patients with other critical illnesses.
Our patients receive care through a team approach to assure continuity and consistency of the care provided. The group consists of doctors, nursing staff, rehabilitation staff, respiratory therapy, social worker, and case management. Patient care rounds are held every morning to discuss the clinical progress and the plan of care for each patient.
The interdisciplinary team of the NeuroCare ICU educates both the patient and the family regarding the disease process, the treatment plan and the expected outcome. Patients and families are involved in treatment and discharge planning whenever possible in order to enhance patient care and service quality.
The nursing staff works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. They provide highly skilled, professional, quality patient care. The nursing team is empowered to identify and utilize best practices to ensure positive patient outcomes. The unit participates in a shared governance structure and allows for autonomy, development and advancement while remaining at the bedside.
We are proud of our Magnet nurses and the nursing excellence they deliver.
