Heart Screenings at the University of Maryland Heart Center

Undergoing regular heart screenings is one of the most effective ways you can help your heart. Starting in your 20s, you should undergo screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. Screenings are often no more invasive than a simple blood test.

If we detect an abnormality, such as high cholesterol, we can treat it aggressively before it becomes a problem. The earlier we treat heart-related conditions, the more successful the treatment. Learn more about heart screenings.
