Cardiac Surgeons

The University of Maryland Division of Cardiac Surgery provides state-of-the-art surgical correction of cardiothoracic disorders. Our experienced surgeons are leader in many areas, including coronary bypass procedures, mitral valve repairs, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), surgical treatment for atrial fibrillation (MAZE procedure), and heart transplantation and implantation of mechanical circulatory support devices.

Cardiac surgery procedures are performed at the University of Maryland Heart Center in downtown Baltimore or in Towson at the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Heart Institute.
