Jennifer Ezirike, M.D.
Chief Resident (2016-2017)
Medical School: Morehouse School of Medicine
A little about myself. . .
I was born in Dallas, TX but since I was 2 years old, I was raised in the suburbs of Hartford, the capitol of Connecticut. I went to Rutgers University in Newark, NJ for college where I majored in biology. After college, I went further south to Atlanta, GA for medical school at the wonderful Morehouse School of Medicine, where my compassion for serving the underserved bloomed.
I wanted to train at the University of Maryland for residency when I noticed how energetic, passionate, and supportive the residents, attendings, and supporting staff were on my interview day. I welcomed the opportunity to serve the Baltimore community, as I knew that training here would shape me into a well-rounded, knowledgeable, and compassionate pediatrician. The University of Maryland contributed significantly to my growth as a person and a physician, so I leaped at the opportunity to stay an additional year to serve this program as a chief resident!
Within pediatrics, I have interests in gastroenterology, growth and nutrition. When it comes to hobbies, I’ve been a dancer since 4 years of age, so when I am not working I love going out dancing. I also enjoy watching the performing arts, traveling, exercising, eating at different restaurants, and simply catching up with friends and family.
