Theodore Trigylidas, M.D.
Medical School: St. George's University
A little about myself. . .
I was born and raised in Canada in the capital city of Ottawa. I am thrilled to be one of the few token Canadians at UMMC. I come from a very Greek family and was blessed with a long, tongue-twisting name. There are many ways, shapes and forms of nicknaming my last name. One that's become very popular in the hospital setting has been "Triglycerides." New suggestions are always welcome.
I lived in Ottawa for the bulk of my life and graduated with a B.Sc. at the University of Ottawa. I then attended medical school at St. George's University and had the opportunity to live on the island of Grenada and NYC for the last few years. Now I am excited to get a fresh start in Baltimore and get a good feel for the breadth of culture Maryland has to offer. My interests outside of work include exercising, live music, playing/performing music, travelling, and watching/playing sports. I am sad to be away from my cliche Canadian sports (hockey) but will do my best to embrace the local sports teams. I'm looking forward to a enriching three years with the UMMC Pediatrics family.
