Medical School: UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School
A little about myself. . .
I was born in a small town in South Carolina and moved quite a bit during my childhood (North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Texas) before finally settling in New Jersey for middle school and high school. I guess I am a Southern girl at heart, because I decided to go back down to the South for college, majoring in biology at Duke University. It was at Duke where I discovered two of my greatest passions in life: medicine and college basketball (go Blue Devils!). I returned to New Jersey for medical school, because I wanted to be closer to my family. During my fourth year, my parents and my then-fiance, Dan, moved to Baltimore for work and residency, respectively. Needless to say, Baltimore became a popular weekend destination for me during fourth year, and I came to love it. I graduated, got married, went on my honeymoon, and moved to a new city all in a span of two weeks - and I couldn't be happier! I love watching college basketball, going to the beach, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with my friends and family.
I am incredibly excited about joining the University of Maryland Pediatrics family! The residents, faculty, and staff are friendly, caring, dedicated, and brilliant, and I feel privileged to be able to work with such amazing individuals.
