A little about myself. . .
Hola! I was born and raised in California (Bay Area), within a wonderfully mixed household nurtured by my American father and Bolivian mother. After enjoying 18 years of the sunny West Coast, I moved to Philadelphia for my undergraduate degree and studied health policy and public health. After graduation I moved to Washington, DC, and worked for five years doing health policy work at the federal level for two non-profit organizations. I love doing policy work and look forward to rekindling my policy career, but I decided to become a physician so that I could have a greater positive impact and receive the humbling opportunity to interact with people at a more individual and intimate level.
I received both my medical degree and Master of Public Health from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, CA, and I am thrilled to enter pediatrics, the most amazing, fulfilling and enjoyable specialty there is!
I am delighted to be at UMD, where both the residents and staff are welcoming, warm and supportive. My intern class is made up of unique and special people, and I am very excited to be here!
