A little about myself. . .
I was born in Buffalo, NY, raised in Kingston, NY and then moved back to Buffalo when I was 13. Bottom line, this is my first time living outside of NY, and I have to say Baltimore is quite the "charming city"! I love to travel, read, cook (mostly because I love to eat good food), painting/photography, and watch the Buffalo Sabres (Let's Go Buffalo!). I did manage to transplant some accents with the moving and travelling. I say "cawl" instead of call and occasionally will throw out a Canadian "eh?" so don't be surprised if you hear them!
I have been planning since I was a child to be a physician. . . but that was as far as my plans went. After three years of medical school I had a small dilemma on my hands as my plans didn't extend that far. Needless to say pediatric won my heart and here I am. I am not sure what I want to do when I finish residency but I love to teach and value continuity of care, and hope that I can find a happy medium between the two in my career.
I couldn't say there was one thing that drew me to this program, it was more the overall gestalt, but I am very excited to start this new adventure, in a new city, with new friends!
