Electives and Individualized Units

The residency experience at the University of Maryland is filled with opportunities for electives and individualized unit. In the first year there is room for 2 core electives. The second and third year offer a combined 11 electives and individualized units. We offer an extensive menu of individualized unit experience that have been created by residents and encourage residents to explore the entire medical system creating new experiences with faculty mentorship.
