A little about myself. . .
My life began in the frigid north of Canada. I only stayed long enough to collect a citizenship before moving to The Old Country (England) for a brief stint until finally settling into Kurt Vonnegut's hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. I grew up in Indiana and proudly identify myself as a Hoosier. Growing up, I played soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse competitively while also earning my Eagle Scout. After high school, I went on to study History at Indiana University, writing a thesis on the development of the study of Human Anatomy in Europe. I stayed close to home for medical school and attended Indiana University in Indianapolis. It was during this time that my interest in Global Health was developed; I went to Honduras twice and Kenya for two months during my four years at IU. My beautiful fiance Elisabeth and pooch (a Siberian husky named Oliver) are loving our time exploring the different neighborhoods of Baltimore. Right now, and this is subject to change, my medical interests are Intensive Care and Global Health and my non-medical interests include board games, Tough Mudder events, and craft beer.
