A little about myself. . .
I was born and raised around Chicago. Despite not venturing too far from home for undergrad, I turned my love for travel and exploring new cultures into a major of International Studies through which I was able to spend a year living and studying in Quito, Ecuador. After graduating, I spent some time in Washington, DC providing wellness services to medically underserved women and realizing that I wanted to be a doctor. So, I headed back to Chicago for medical school at the University of Illinois.
In typical Med/Peds fashion, I have a lot of interests both inside the hospital and out. I have an interest in primary care, but I am not quite sure which field of medicine I will end up in.
When I interviewed at the University of Maryland, what stood out was how fun, smart and supportive the residents and faculty were. This (along with the slightly warmer winters) has made me really excited to join the University of Maryland family.
