Kate was born and raised in upstate New York, where she grew up skiing and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains. For college, she became a Crusader and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Chemistry from College of the Holy Cross in Worchester, MA. She then headed to western New York for her medical degree at Buffalo. In Buffalo she met her fiancée, Alex, and they happily couples matched to the University of Maryland.  After residency, Kate will be applying for a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care. In her free time, Kate enjoys hiking, skiing, yoga, learning to cook and playing with her fur-babies, Teddy and Phin.
