Where are They Now?

Current Fellows

Fahad Ali, M.D. – Dr. Ali earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Pakistan and worked for several years at St. Vincent’s Cancer center and at the Center for Brain Health at New York University School of Medicine prior to residency. Dr. Ali completed his general psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Lauren Cashion, M.D. - Dr. Cashion received her B.A. in Biological Sciences from Barnard College, Columbia University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Cashion completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt.

Sara Jeurling, M.D. - Dr. Jeurling earned her B.A. in French from Davidson College and received her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Jeurling completed her internship year at the University of Pennsylvania before joining the general psychiatry residency program at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt.

Harprett Kaur, M.D. - Dr. Kaur earned her medical degree at the Government Medical College in Punjab, India. Prior to starting residency, she volunteered in the pathology lab at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York and did two externships in the Department of Psychiatry at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC. She then completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Louisville.

Holly Law, M.D. - Dr. Law earned her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Notre Dame and she received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. While in medical school completed an international psychiatry rotation in Taiwan. Dr. Law completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland / Sheppard Pratt.

Anson Liu, M.D. - Dr. Liu received his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, Australia and his M.S. in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Liu received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After graduation, he completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt.

Yetunde Olagbemiro, M.D., MPH - Dr. Olagbemiro received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of JOS College of Medicine in Nigeria. Later, she earned her Master of Public Health at George Washington University. Dr. Olagbemiro completed her general psychiatry residency at Meharry Medical College.

Robert Paine, D.O. - Dr. Paine received his B.S. in Chemistry and Psychology from Frostburg State University. He then earned his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Paine completed his general psychiatry residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center/West Virginia University Charleston Division.

Kelly Register-Brown, M.D., M.Sc.- Dr. Register-Brown received her B.A. in Biology from Harvard University. She she earned her M.D at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Register-Brown attended the University of Oxford to earn her M.Sc. in Comparative Social Policy. Dr. Register-Brown completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt.

Amirali Sayadipour, M.D. - Dr. Sayadipour received his medical degree at Azad University, Tehran Faculty of Medicine in Iran. He worked as a general practitioner for several years in Tehran and in a remote Iranian village. He then moved to Abu Dhabi-United Arab Emirates where he received additional training and worked as an emergency physician for several years. After immigrating to the United States, he completed a two-year Neuroscience Fellowship in Philadelphia and a two-year Spine Research Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his general psychiatry residency at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Taylor Scott, M.D. - Dr. Scott earned her B.S. in Psychology from Duke University. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Scott completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt.

Lori Schwartz, M.D. - Dr. Schwartz received her B.S. in Neuroscience, Biology, and Psychology from Brandeis University. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Schwartz joined the Post Baccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award Program (IRTA) at the Laboratory of Neurogenetics, at the National Institutes of Health. She earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt.

Jamie Stevens, M.D., MPH - Dr. Stevens graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Behavioral Biology and then completed a post-baccalaureate program at Tufts University. She earned her medical degree and Masters in Public Health at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Fauzia Syed, M.D. - Dr. Syed earned her medical degree at Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College in India. Following graduation, she completed her general psychiatry residency at Bergen Regional Medical Center in New Jersey. Prior to her residency, Dr. Syed worked as a research assistant in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Services at USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.
