Support for Scholars

The Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology Training Program (Training Program) will provide 75% salary support for junior faculty as well as associated fringe benefits. The total salary must be based on a 12-month faculty appointment and the level of effort related to the Training Program activities.

  • Calabresi Scholars will become faculty members at the assistant professor level in their respective Schools after acceptance into the Training Program;
  • The Training Program will provide support for tuition and fees for the Masters in Clinical Research;
  • The Training Program will provide up to $30,000 per year starting in the trainees' second year that will be used to provide support for the Calabresi Scholar’s clinical research project. This money can be used for research expenses, statistical/data management services, research nurse support, etc. Additionally, Calabresi Scholars will receive a one-time $5,000 credit to be used in the Shared Service facility of their choice (e.g., Flow Cytometry, X-ray Crystallography) to assist in the completion of the clinical research project.
