Mission and Goals
The Mission of the UMMC Dietetic Internship is to provide focused, high-quality educational experiences to prospective dietitians, endowing entry-level knowledge and skills to support patients and the larger community for improvement and maintenance of nutrition status.
To provide an environment that will combine didactic instruction with supervised clinical, community and foodservice experiences to prepare interns for entry-level positions.
To provide learning experiences that integrate evidence-based practice into the nutrition care process.
