Patient Resource Center

The Patient Resource Center (PRC) is located on the first floor of the Weinberg Building in the University of Maryland Medical Center.  The PRC is a place where patients, families and the public can get information about a variety of health topics. These computer workstations are designed to help you find the health information you're looking for on the World Wide Web.

You can also use our computers to create a free patient Web page to communicate with friends and family. UMMC is an official sponsor of CaringBridge, an Internet service developed to help patients and their families stay connected with loved ones during medical treatment. CaringBridge to learn more.

While the Patient Resource Center does not give specific medical advice, we do offer information to help you better understand your health and any health problems. Specific medical advice will not be offered, and the Patient Resource Center asks you to talk with a qualified healthcare provider for answers to your personal questions.

The Patient Resource Center also offers a variety of classes, support groups and events. For more information, call the Patient Resource Center at 410-328-WELL (9355).
