Patient Survival Rates
As a tertiary academic medical center, the University of Maryland Medical Center often treats patients with life-threatening conditions. The chart below shows that more people diagnosed with life-threatening conditions survived at UMMC than would be expected when compared with the national average, given the severity of the patients' conditions. The red line is the nationally expected rate. Anything above the red line is good.
