Surgery Patients On Beta Blocker Therapy Who Received a Beta Blocker During the Peri Operative Period

Many patients who have been diagnosed with or are at risk for developing heart problems take medications known as beta-blockers to reduce their risk of future heart-related complications.

The chart below shows the percentage of UMMC surgery patients who were taking beta-blockers prior to undergoing surgery who were kept on their medications during the time immediately before and after their surgery as compared to the national average.
