The left ventricle of the heart is the chamber responsible for pumping blood to the rest of the body. The function of the left ventricle is often impaired in patients diagnosed with heart failure. A Left Ventricle Function (LVF) assessment determines the left ventricle's ability to supply blood to the rest of the body.
The chart below shows the percentage of UMMC heart failure patients who were given a LVF assessment as compared to the national average.
