Beta Blocker Prescribed at Discharge

Beta-blockers are a type of medicine used to lower blood pressure, treat chest pain (angina) and heart failure. They have been shown to reduce further heart damage after a heart attack.

The chart below shows the percentage of UMMC heart attack patients who were prescribed a beta-blocker at discharge as compared to the national average.
