Aspirin Prescribed at Discharge

Aspirin is beneficial because of its ability to reduce blood's tendency to clot in the blood vessels of the heart. Taking aspirin after experiencing a heart attack may help prevent future heart attacks.

The chart below shows the percentage of UMMC heart attack patients who were prescribed aspirin at discharge as compared to the national average.
