ACEI or ARB for LVSD

ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitors and ARBs (angiotensin receptor blockers) improve the heart's ability to pump blood. These medicines are used to treat heart attacks, heart failure or a decreased function of the heart.

The chart below shows the percentage of UMMC heart attack patients prescribed an ACE inhibitor or ARB for left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) as compared to the national average.
