Chief of Kidney Transplant Honored for Efforts to Fight Kidney Disease

Dr. David Leeser, chief of kidney and pancreas transplantation at UMMC, was honored by the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland for his efforts to fight kidney disease through fundraising and awareness initiatives.
Dr. Leeser was chair of the 2014 "Rappel for Kidney Health, which occurred at the Marriott Waterfront in June. He helped participants raise money for the NKF-MD during an event in which they rappel down the side of the hotel.
