Your Health Matters- First Trimester Pregnancy
In this three-minute "Your Health Matters" segment from FOX 45 Morning News, reporter Patrice Harris interviews Dr. Chris Harman, the Director of Maternal/Fetal Medicine and the Center of Advanced Fetal Care at the University of Maryland Medical Center. During the interview, Dr. Harman discusses things women should and should not do during their first trimester of pregnancy, including taking prenatal vitamins and reducing stress.
Dr. Harman also details the types of tests, both invasive and non-invasive, that are available to women in their first trimester to help ensure the pregnancy is progressing normally. He also explains the treatment options offered at the Center of Advanced Fetal Medicine when the results of these tests do not come back as planned.
