Treatments for Women with IBD
In this video, Dr. Leyla Ghazi, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, talks about the specialized services offered to women suffering from IBD. One of Dr. Ghazi's areas of expertise is treating women with IBD, and specifically those with perianal disease, a complication of Crohn's disease. She discusses the multiple therapies available to women, with all treatments individualized to fit the needs of each patient. Practitioners in the program are interested in treating women with IBD and establishing a orum for female patients to discuss the complex issues they face with their disease.
