Shock Trauma Expansion Animation
This two-minute video features a computer-generated animation of the University of Maryland Medical Center's Phase IV expansion project.
The animation takes viewers on a virtual tour of all of the new features the building will contain once construction is complete. Viewers are first shown a 360-degree exterior view of the building, complete with a Medevac helicopter departing from the new rooftop landing pad. The animation then breaks the building down floor by floor, showing viewers both the state-of-the-art operating rooms and the patient-friendly waiting and reception areas.
The building is expected to be completed in 2013. A groundbreaking celebration for this major construction project was held on May 13, 2010.
