What Patients Should Know About Transplantation at UMMC
In this brief video, transplant nurse coordinators are asked to describe one thing that prospective transplant patients should know about transplantation at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Responses included UMMC's high number of transplants performed each year (more than 420) and high graft survival, meaning the organ performs well after transplant. The transplant program provides comprehensive care to support each patient from all angles of their disease, including medical and surgical treatments. The dedicated transplant team goes above and beyond to serve patients and help them get the second chance at life that they deserve.
