Transplant Patient Education
Patient education is a critically important part of the transplant process. Nurse coordinators work with each patient to help him/her understand the medications (immunosuppression) and identify signs of rejection after transplant. Transplant medications and care are up to the patient, so nurse coordinators empower patients to understand that what they do on a daily basis directly impacts their long-term outcomes after transplantation.
