Recolección de injerto de hueso

La cirugía espinal algunas veces es necesaria para eliminar un disco herniado. Si se extrae más de un disco, la columna vertebral puede perder estabilidad, por lo que se requiere de un procedimiento para fusionarla. Esta fusión puede hacerse con huesos y placas, varillas o armazones de metal especiales. El hueso puede ser extraído del cuerpo del paciente, bien sea de la cadera o de la pierna inferior.
