Una prueba de sangre oculta en heces es un examen no invasivo con el que se detecta la presencia de sangre escondida en las heces. La sangre en las heces que no es visible a menudo es el primero, y en muchos casos el único, signo de advertencia de que la persona tiene una enfermedad colorrectal, incluyendo el cáncer de colon.
