La miliaria cristalina se produce cuando el sudor es retenido superficialmente en los poros de la piel. Esta fotografía en primer plano muestra diminutas ampollas transparentes que se rompen con facilidad. No hay inflamación asociada, de tal manera que no se presenta enrojecimiento ni debajo ni alrededor de las ampollas. Esta condición ocurre a menudo en los recién nacidos.
