La pitiriasis rubra pilaris es una condición cutánea poco común caracterizada por parches color salmón con escamas (queratodermia palmoplantar). Un signo característico de esta condición es el taponamiento con queratina de los folículos pilosos. Típicamente el folículo aparece rodeado de una coloración rojo-naranja.
