Panadizo herpético del pulgar

Este es un uñero herpético, una infección de la piel alrededor de la uña causada por el virus del herpes. Se presenta con frecuencia en los niños cuando éstos succionan el pulgar u otro dedo mientras tienen aftas en la boca. También se observa en los profesionales de la salud, como los odontólogos, debido a que están expuestos al virus del herpes con frecuencia creciente. El uso de guantes de goma previene que los profesionales de la salud contraigan infecciones por herpes cerca de las uñas.
