Mordeduras de animales

Las mordeduras de animales son lesiones que se producen al desgarrarse la carne entre los dientes del animal. Entre los procedimientos de primeros auxilios que deben efectuarse para las mordeduras están lavar las lesiones menores, aplicar presión y vendar con una tela limpia hasta que cese el sangrado. Si el animal es salvaje o doméstico sin vacunar, puede surgir la inquietud de que sufra de rabia. Siempre que sea posible se debe colocar al animal bajo cuarentena o practicarle una autopsia para determinar si tiene rabia. El médico determinará la profilaxis de la rabia.
