Macroglosia es un trastorno congénito en el cual la lengua es más grande de lo normal. Su agrandamiento se debe a un incremento de la cantidad de tejido y no a un tumor o masa. En el síndrome de Down también hay una macroglosia aparente, quizás porque la lengua frecuentemente sobresale.
