Irritación de la piel significa una piel roja y dolorosa que se ha irritado por una frotación continua. Para evitar la irritación, se recomienda usar ropa limpia y adecuada al practicar algún deporte o realizar ejercicios. Si existe irritación, se debe usar talco o vaselina como lubricante en las áreas afectadas de la piel para aliviar temporalmente la irritación.
