Insuficiencia venosa

Las válvulas en las venas generalmente canalizan el flujo sanguíneo hacia el corazón. Cuando estas válvulas se dañan, la sangre se escapa y se estanca en las piernas y en los pies. La insuficiencia venosa es una condición en la cual las venas no retornan la sangre eficientemente al corazón. Esta condición involucra generalmente una o más venas. Los síntomas son inflamación de las piernas y dolor sordo, pesadez o calambres en las extremidades.
