Infección del oído medio (otitis media)

La otitis media es una inflamación y/ o infección del oído medio. La otitis media aguda (infección aguda del oído) se presenta cuando hay una infección viral o bacterial del fluido del oído medio que causa producción de fluido o pus. La otitis media crónica se presenta cuando la trompa de Eustaquio se bloquea repetidamente debido a alergias, infecciones múltiples, trauma del oído o inflamación de las adenoides.
