Frotis bucal

El frotis bucal es un examen donde se extraen células de la lengua. Estas células se recolectan frotando la lengua con una espátula y luego se colocan en un portavidrios para ser llevadas al laboratorio para su evaluación. Las células se evalúan para determinar la presencia de cuerpos de Barr (masa observada en un cromosoma normal de sexo femenino). El examen de frotis bucal puede confirmar si el paciente es hombre o mujer.
