Diástasis del recto

La diástasis del recto, una condición que es normal en el recién nacido, es una separación de los lados derecho e izquierdo del músculo recto abdominal, el cual es el músculo que cubre la superficie anterior del abdomen. La diástasis del recto se manifiesta como una gran cresta que se extiende a lo largo de la línea media del abdomen desde la parte inferior del esternón hasta el ombligo y que se hace visible cada vez que el niño hace un esfuerzo o intenta sentarse.
