El dedo del pie en martillo es una afección por la que un dedo del pie se dobla hacia abajo como una garra. Uno puede nacer con un dedo del pie en martillo o desarrollarlo por el uso de zapatos cortos y angostos. Los síntomas del dedo del pie en martillo son dolor de pie, formación de callosidades en la planta del pie o callos en la parte de arriba del dedo afectado. El tratamiento de los casos leves y en los niños puede incluir la manipulación del pie y colocación de una férula en el dedo del pie afectado. Los casos más severos pueden requerir cirugía para enderezar la articulación del dedo del pie.
