Una teoría de la causa de la migraña es un trastorno del sistema nervioso central (SNC). El sistema nervioso central está conformado por el cerebro y la médula espinal. En la migraña, varios estímulos pueden causar una serie de eventos neurológicos y bioquímicos que afectan el sistema vascular del cerebro.
