Calambres en la pierna

Calambres en la pierna es el nombre común para una condición médica llamada síndrome de estrés medial de la tibia en el cual se presenta dolor a lo largo de la tibia (hueso de la espinilla) en la sección anterior de la parte inferior de la pierna. El dolor es el resultado de pequeños desgarres en el área, el punto de fijación de la tibia a los músculos inferiores de la pierna. Las espinillas en astilla particularmente son causadas por la actividad atlética intensa y vigorosa y se pueden resolver con descanso adecuado, estiramiento y modificación de la rutina de ejercicios.
