La biopsia de pulmón o bronquial (muestras de tejido que se toman para diagnosticar o descartar enfermedad) puede realizarse utilizando un broncoscopio flexible, un instrumento con una pequeña luz y cámara que es insertado a través de la nariz o la boca. Cuando se observa un área sospechosa se introduce un instrumento a través del broncoscopio para tomar una muestra con el fin de ser analizada.
