Biopsia de tejido pulmonar

Para obtener una muestra de tejido pulmonar para realizar una biopsia se inserta una aguja dentro del pulmón y se extrae una muestra para ser llevada al laboratorio. En la prueba se aíslan e identifican en el espécimen del pulmón organismos que causan infección. El cultivo de biopsia con aguja del pulmón se realiza cuando se sospecha de infección pulmonar y el cultivo de esputo o de lavado broncoalveolar no identificó la causa de la infección.
