Las siguientes son algunas recomendaciones para prevenir los labios cuarteados:

  • Evite la excesiva exposición al sol.
  • Evite salir en un clima frío y seco sin aplicarse un bálsamo para los labios o lápiz labial.
  • Trate de mantener húmedo el aire en el hogar.
  • Utilice un protector solar para los labios cuando el clima está soleado.
Las siguientes son algunas recomendaciones para aliviar los labios cuarteados y con dolor:
  • Tome mayor cantidad de líquido en los meses de invierno.
  • Trate los labios cuarteados o agrietados con cera de abejas y vaselina (Vaseline).

Consulte con el médico si presenta llagas en los labios que no sanan.
