Founded in 1968, the University of Maryland Medical Center's Division of Transplantation provides comprehensive transplant services in kidney, pancreas, heart, lung, simultaneous kidney-pancreas and liver. The transplant program at the University of Maryland is among the busiest programs in the country, performing more than 420 abdominal and thoracic organ transplants each year.
